Centre for Mathematics of Imaging in Healthcare User & Industry engagement event “Developments in Healthcare Imaging – Connecting with Industry”

The Centre for Mathematics of Imaging in Healthcare (CMIH) is hosting its first Industry & User Engagement event, “Developments in Healthcare Imaging – Connecting with Industry”, on October 19th in Cambridge.  Problems relating to imaging are often big data problems, and so of interest to the CCIMI.

There will be presentations from CMIH academics, giving details of the project collaborations currently being investigated, as well as presentations from our colleagues in industry, discussing current and future challenges, and representation from our funders (EPSRC), to discuss how this work fits in the wider area of mathematics for healthcare. The event provides a great opportunity to learn more about the work of the centre and the challenges facing medical imaging both from an academic and industrial perspective. We hope this will also provide a chance to establish new partnerships and explore potential new collaborations.

More information, including a provisional timetable and a link for registration, is available from the Turing Gateway http://www.turing-gateway.cam.ac.uk/cmih_oct2016.shtml.
