CoSIP Intense Course on Deep Learning

The workshop is intended to provide the younger researchers in the area of compressed sensing with the main ideas and mathematical concepts of deep learning. The event is closely related to the 3. International Matheon-Conference on “Compressed Sensing and its Applications”, which will be held in the same place in the subsequent week (December, 4-8). Since this time an additional focus of the conference will be put on foundations of deep learning and since compressed sensing-type approaches will also be part of the second funding period of CoSIP, we aim to equip the upcoming generation of researchers with the necessary tools in this area.

The SPP 1798 – Compressed Sensing in Information Processing (CoSIP) is a Priority Programme established by the DFG in April 2014 with a starting date in April 2015. A particular feature of the program is that it aims at promoting nationwide collaboration of researches and supporting the academic career of young researchers through intense contact between different groups, workshops, and summer schools.

The workshop will be held from November, 29 to December, 1 at Technical University in Berlin.

It is organized by Gitta Kutyniok (Technische Universität Berlin), Maximilian März (Technische Universität Berlin) and Rudolf Mathar (RWTH Aachen).
