Image Reconstruction in Biomedical Imaging: Introduction and overview part 2

CMIH short course on Image Reconstruction in Biomedical Imaging

Abstract: The course will provide an introduction to state-of-the art methods for image reconstruction in biomedical imaging and its applications, with an outlook to challenging problems in current research. The series will start with an introductory part providing an overview of different image modalities and the mathematical formulation of the corresponding image reconstruction problems, before proceeding to a discussion of variational regularization methods.

In the second half of the course we will discuss modern high-dimensional problems related to dynamic and spectral imaging. Particular focus will be put on motion correction techniques and their use. Finally we will give a perspective on multimodality imaging.

This lecture concludes the introduction and overview of different image modalities, mathematical formulation of the image reconstruction problems
