Multivariate Algorithms and Information-Based Complexity Workshop

A workshop on “Multivariate Algorithms and Information-Based Complexity” will be taking place at the Johann Radon Institute (RICAM), Linz, Austria, on November 5-9, 2018. The goal of the workshop is to bring together diverse experts, those addressing classical questions in information-based complexity together with practitioners and those working on related problems. A preliminary list of speakers is here:

The workshop is embedded in a RICAM Special Semester on “Multivariate Algorithms and Their Foundations in Number Theory”. Further information about the Special Semester can be found on the website of the workshop.

The organisors cordially invite you to participate in the workshop. Registration is open and free of charge, at

https://www.ricam.oeaw.ac.at/specsem/specsem2018/registration/

To avoid parallel sessions and allow for additional time for discussions and co-operation, the organisors kindly ask for your understanding that the number of talks is limited, and we therefore can accept contributed talks only in exceptional cases.

Partial financial support for PhD students and young PostDocs is offered. Please make this opportunity known to those who might benefit. Those wishing to apply for financial support should send a letter describing their reason for attending, a current CV, and a reference letter to Peter Kritzer (peter.kritzer@oeaw.ac.at).  Applications received before June 30, 2018 will receive full consideration, and financial support decisions will be made soon after that date.
